MELAKA, Jan 11 -- The prices of tickets for the 2020 Malaysia League (M-League) matches involving Melaka United at the Hang Jebat Stadium have increased by RM5 compared to last season.
Melaka United Football Association (MUSA) honorary treasurer, Mohamad Rashidi Othman said the price hike involved two seating categories, namely, covered seat and open seat, due to the increased management costs.
‘’The ticket for a covered seat is RM20 from RM15 previously and the ticket for an open seat is RM15 from RM10 previously,’’ he said in a statement, here today.
He said this was in line with the current costs to enable MUSA to pay the expenses of the M-League matches which are going up every year.
“Prior to the price hike, the Hang Tuah squad fans have been enjoying among the cheapest ticket prices over the last two seasons. It is seen as pertinent, as the same prices are being imposed by most teams in the M-League.
‘’Nevertheless, we maintain the free admission for children under the age of 12 years and the handicapped (OKU),” he said.
In the meantime, he said the supporters of the Sang Kancil squad could save on the costs of buying tickets to watch the matches by buying the 2020 Melaka United season pass.
He said the season pass holders were eligible to watch every M-League match at the Hang Jebat Stadium including the Super League, FA Cup and the Malaysian Cup throughout this season with six packages offered which included numerous privileges.
“It is cost-saving and simple. The fans only need to bring along their season passes without having to worry about buying tickets to watch matches involving Melaka United at the Hang Jebat Stadium,” he added.
