JAKARTA, Nov. 16 -- The Indonesian police anti-terror squad of Densus 88 killed two terror suspects in a shootout that occurred in North Sumatra province’s regency of Deli Serdang on Saturday, North Sumatra Police Chief Agus Andrianto said.
A squad member was injured in the shootout that took place at 11.30 a.m. in the regency’s Paluh Manan village, Andrianto said as quoted by Xinhua news agency.
The shootout happened amid police efforts to search for people linked to the solo suicidal bombing perpetrator in a police station in the province’s capital of Medan on Wednesday.
Andrianto said the search, which has been carried out over the last few days, is also conducted in the neighboring province of Aceh.
