KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 14 -- The Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) TV Drama Unit is not afraid of competing with outside productions in turning out works of quality, said RTM Drama Unit manager, Rahayu Wahid.
‘’It is common knowledge, that outside productions tend to make dramas based on popularity such as from popular novels and mostly involving popular actors.
‘’We are more well-known for our heavy works because we want a difference. We want to educate society and deliver certain messages. Thank god, the audience is also open to the genres which we bring,’’ she told Bernama after a preview of the telefilm, Lafaz, here, today.
The telefilm, which was produced by the RTM TV Drama Unit, was about Alzheimer and was of the romance and family genre.
The drama, directed by Hisyamudin Ahmad and starring Qi Razali, Diana Aqila, Syazwan Zulkifly, Akmal Ahmad, Mardiana Alwi and Wan Hanafi Su, would be screened on Dec 13 on TV 2 at 9 pm.
