KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 11 -- Metronic Global Bhd emerged the most actively traded counter this morning after having bagged a RM18.7 million audiovisual and information technology system (AV-ICT) contract for the Merdeka PNB 118 project.
The contract was secured via a wholly-owned subsidiary, Metronic Engineering Sdn Bhd (MESB).
At 12.30 pm, Metronic Global’s shares were unchanged at seven sen with 89.78 million shares changing hands.
Executive director and chief executive officer Brian Hoo Wai Keong said Metronic was also pressing ahead with finalising tenders for several huge potential engineering projects worth up to RM300 million in Malaysia and across the region.
He said the company was also on track to meet its aim of a US$1 billion market share of smart city projects across Malaysia, Europe, the United States, the Middle-East and Southeast Asia in the next three years.
Merdeka PNB 118, formerly named KL 118, will be the fourth tallest building in the world upon completion, with an architectural height of at least 644 metres. The total project value is RM5 billion.
