Supporters have to give priority to safety - Police

ALOR SETAR, July 22 (Bernama) -- The Lang Merah squad supporters are advised to give priority to their safety as well as the other supporters’ while buying the FA Cup final 2019 tickets at the Stadium Darul Aman counter here, which will be on sale tomorrow.

Kedah Police Chief Datuk Zainuddin Yaacob said supporters are reminded not to ignore their safety in getting the tickets and not to act violently and violating the instructions given by the security personnel on duty.

"They should be more orderly when buying tickets tomorrow. I understand that everyone wants to get the tickets as they are very limited, so they should be patient and follow the instructions.

"Respect other supporters and never use violence. For those who violated the law, we will take serious action against them," he said when contacted by Bernama, here today.

He expressed hope that all supporters would be able to comply with the instructions given by the security and police personnel, who would be there to ensure public safety.

"The police will take stringent action over public safety and the movement of vehicles around the stadium tomorrow.

"The public is also advised not to create barriers and obey the traffic rules for the convenience and smoothness of the ticket sales process," he said.

A total of 20,000 out of 30,000 tickets, which were distributed by the Malaysian Football League (MFL), will be sold at the stadium counter starting from 10.30 am until it finishes.

On July 27, Kedah will be playing against Perak in the 2019 FA Cup finals at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil.
