MAKKAH, July 14 (Bernama) -- A total 9,363 haj pilgrims have already arrived here and Madinah as of yesterday, said the Pilgrims’ Fund Board (TH).
According to the statement, of the total, 4,653 haj pilgrims were here while 4,710 pilgrims were in Madinah.
The statement also said that these comprised 31 per cent of the overall 30,200 haj pilgrims from Malaysia this year.
According to the statement, 22 haj flights had departed as of yesterday and 20 flights had arrived as of 1 am yesterday local time, 6 am Malaysian time.
All the haj flights departing on July 4 until July 17 were scheduled to land at the Prince Mohammad Abdul Aziz International Airport in Madinah while those flights leaving on July 18 until Aug 5 would land at the King Abdul Aziz International Airport in Jeddah.
