KUALA LUMPUR, July 9 (Bernama) -- Come Oct 8, the Southeast Asian region will witness the first ever conference to implement zero-waste at Workshops of the World Communicate 2019 (WOWComm), organised by Malaysia’s Anne Edwards & Company Sdn Bhd.

To be launched by Parti Keadilan Rakyat President, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the two-day conference will see over 500 trailblazers carrying the ‘7 Billion Dreams, One Planet’ tagline.

With sustainability at the forefront, WOWComm 2019 is dedicated to saving the planet with part of its proceeds being contributed to selected green non-governmental organisations like WWF and Zero Waste Malaysia.

Hence, taking a step further to spearhead and set the stage for business icons, industry legends, key government officials and high net worth investors to manifest their commitment to save the planet.

With Zero Waste Malaysia as adviser, the conference will implement guidelines on how to prevent the accumulation of wastes via redesigning and upcycling the resources to its optimum capacity.

“When you put sustainability at the forefront, you will flourish for a long time, you will be able to earn a living from healing the planet, rather than destroying it,” said WOWComm 2019 Organising Chairman, Anne Edwards.

“We need to change mindsets, which is in fact the theme of our conference, to change the way we communicate and the way we do business.”

WOWComm 2019 is co-organised by Fine Concept & Creation, with the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), Malaysian National News Agency (BERNAMA) and Malay Mail as partners.
