SEREMBAN, July 7 (Bernama) -- The Super Mega Gathering of K-Car & BMX Back to 80s Malaysia programme, which was held for the first time in the state, has brought together over 3,500 fans at d’Tempat Country Club, here today.
In fact, the programme, which was jointly organised by d'Sora Boutique Business Hotel and Negeri Sembilan leading property developers, Matrix Concepts, had not only brought together K-Car and BMX extreme sports enthusiasts, but had also served as a platform for young entrepreneurs to do business.
State Youth and Sports Development Committee chairman Mohamad Taufek Abd Ghani said the gathering could be turned into an annual event as it encouraged youths to get involved in healthy activities.
“With such an encouraging response, I will discuss these matter with the organisers to make the programme an annual event. It is one of the state government initiatives to attract visitors to come here and like this programme, it does not only brings together K-Car and BMX fans, but also auto spare parts dealers and food truck operators.
“As for the state government, we will continue supporting such activities and will provide a place to organise it because we want our youths to know that their passion for something healthy and beneficial will certainly get the support," said Mohamad Taufek in his speech.
At the one-day programme, more than 3,000 cars namely Kelisa, Kancil and Myvi Passo, as well as while more than 500 BMX bicycles were showcased, including by exhibitors from Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia.
