RTM's rebranding to focus on attracting young viewers

GEORGE TOWN, June 14 (Bernama) -- The rebranding of Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) is aimed at attracting new viewers especially among young people as well as retaining its older viewers, said RTM Strategic Broadcasting deputy director-general Nor Yahati Awang.
She said the rebranding exercise involved among others the introduction of new programmes.
"Generation X and Baby Boomers grew up listening and viewing RTM but Generation Y are more familiar with other radio stations,” she said when met at the rebranding ceremony of MUTIARAfm’s ‘Syoknya Hindi Bolly Glam’ programme here last night.
