KUALA LUMPUR, May 31 (Bernama) -- AmBank Group, through its sports club, Kelab AmBank Group, treated 100 underprivileged children from Sekolah Kebangsaan Batu Sembilan, Cheras for a Hari Raya shopping programme and ‘Buka Puasa’ event.
According to a statement, AmBank Group’s main objective in organising the annual charity event is to bring festive cheer to the children comprising 51 boys and 49 girls, aged between seven and 12.
The children were taken to Mydin Wholesale Hypermarket in USJ, Subang Jaya for their new Raya outfits while the ‘Buka Puasa’ event hosted by AmBank Group chairman, Tan Sri Azman Hashim was held at Dewan Perdana Felda, Kuala Lumpur.
The programme falls under the AmKasih Programme, the platform for the Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) sustainable development initiatives, focuses on ‘reaching out to the community’ and serves as AmBank Group’s CSR efforts to help the community.
