Gleneagles Penang to be first to offer free e-hailing concierge services

GEORGE TOWN, May 4 (Bernama) – Come May 13, Gleneagles Penang will become the first hospital in the country to offer free e-hailing concierge services for patients.

Its chief operating officer Yong Zi Ling said the new service would be enabled via Concierge by Grab for Business, which is a web-booking transport service that allows the hospital’s customer service team to arrange and book on-demand trips on behalf of patients or their care-givers.

Yong said the new transport service is to provide more convenience to patients, especially senior citizen patients who do not own smartphones and international patients who do not have data plans.

“It is part of the hospital’s initiative to deliver exceptional patient care by providing best-in-class patient experience and outcomes, as well as continuously strive for improvement and provide value-added services to ensure meeting the patient’s needs,” she told reporters here today after a Corporate Service and Billing Agreement (CSBA) signing ceremony with Grab Malaysia.

Yong, accompanied by senior sales and marketing manager Aileen Foo, represented Gleneagles Penang to sign the CSBA with Head of Grab for Business, Casey Chung, representing Grab Malaysia.

She said there may be more collaborations with Grab to continuously improve the hospital’s customer services, such as its express food delivery services GrabFood and workshops for Grab drivers.

“Now with the support and commitment from Grab Malaysia, I believe this good effort will provide efficient mobility solutions for our patients and their family members,” she added

A workshop was also held at Gleneagles Penang today to educate Grab drivers on the proper way to handle and assist disabled passengers.
