PATTANI (Thailand), April 12 (Bernama) -- A homemade bomb triggered by a walkie-talkie exploded near a police station here in southern Thailand today, injuring four policemen and a woman passerby.
Napradu Police Criminal Investigation deputy chief Police Capt Sompop Boonjan said the 10-kg bomb attached to a motorcycle about 400 metres from the police station was triggered at 11.30 am (12.30 pm Malaysian time) as a police pickup truck passed by on its way to Napradu.
The explosion caused the truck to crash into a ditch and four of the six policemen in it were injured, he said.
A 65-year-old woman who was passing by was also injured, he added.
