Time not right for curfew – Dr. Wan Azizah

14/03/2019 10:50 AM

KUALA LUMPUR, March 14 (Bernama) -- Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, told Dewan Rakyat today that among the reasons a night curfew is not being implemented for under 18s for now are the absence of parents or guardians at home because they have to work and children attending things like tuition or religious classes.

"However, the government is considering holding a curfew experiment in high-risk places, and the parents or guardians will have to be responsible for monitoring their children," said Dr Wan Azizah, who is also the Women, Family and Community Development Minister.
