KUALA LUMPUR, March 7 (Bernama) -- RHB Indochina Bank Ltd, a banking arm of RHB Banking Group (RHB), has entered into a partnership with Cambodia’s cashless payment platform, Pi Pay, to offer free cashless payment service in Cambodia.

In a joint statement today, RHB and Pi Pay said the partnership allowed RHB Indochina’s account holders to seamlessly transfer funds free-of-charge into their Pi Pay e-wallets via the RHB mobile banking application to pay for goods and services.

RHB group international business head Datuk Adissadikin Ali said the company aimed to strengthen its digital footprint in Indochina and the collaboration would establish a more accessible and connected payment system that would drive a cashless environment.

Meanwhile, Pi Pay chief executive officer Tomas Pokorny described the partnership as another example of Pi Pay seeking to expand Cambodia’s cashless landscape in an effort to provide users a convenient platform for the payment for goods and services.

Pi Pay is an authorised provider for China's Alipay, WeChat and UnionPay, and provides a safe and efficient payment gateway for Cambodia’s millions of tourists in hotspots, such as Siem Reap and Sihanoukville.
