SUBANG JAYA, March 7 (Bernama) -- People can now travel to the KL International Airport (KLIA) and klia2 by using an airport shuttle service from the Putra Heights LRT station for only RM10 for a one-way trip.
Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook said the airport shuttle service began operation last month to increase the connectivity and seamless travel for airline passengers.
"The combo ticket is sold for RM10 and can be purchased at any LRT, MRT, monorail and BRT counter. It comprises rail and bus tickets for a one-way journey. The journey from Putra Heights to KLIA and klia2 takes approximately 40 minutes, with a bus departing every 30 minutes.
"Putra Heights was chosen due to its strategic location, where it connects the LRT Kelana Jaya Line and Ampang Line," he told reporters after launching the service here today.
Loke said the five shuttle buses were provided by Prasarana Malaysia Berhad, and they operate on a daily basis with a total capacity of 37 passengers per bus.
Loke also launched the JetBus airport shuttle service, provided by Perkhidmatan Hafeena Sdn Bhd, at an affordable price of RM4 for a one-way journey from the Putra Heights LRT station to KLIA and klia2, with a bus departing every 60 to 90 minutes.
Meanwhile, when asked about news reports on the disbandment of the Malaysian Aviation Commission (MAVCOM), the Seremban MP explained that it is just a rumour.
"It is just a rumour. MAVCOM is operating as usual right now," he said.
