KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 30 (Bernama) – investigation to determine the cause of fire at a single story terrace house at Taman Desa Vista, Sepang, on Monday that killed two victims, will only be known within three to four days or more, said the Selangor Director of the Fire and Rescue Department, Azmi Osman.

He said the team from the fire forensics and the police were still at the location of the incident to carry out investigation in detail.

"We need to carry out analytical investigation to determine how the fire had spread and this would take some time,” he said when contacted by Bernama today.

Meanwhile, the Director-General of Fire and Rescue Department Malaysia (JBPM), Datuk Mohammad Hamdan Wahid when contacted said investigation into the case was also assisted by the Investigation Division of the JBPM Headquarters in Putrajaya.

"To date, the outcome of the investigation is still unknown,” he added.

Wan Mohd Baharul Nizam Wan Bakar, 35, and another victim, Norwahidah Abdul Hamid, 28, both of whom were civil servants working at the National Registration Department (JPN), Putrajaya, were found dead in the burnt house.

Yesterday, police had reclassified the case as murder after initial autopsy report on Norwahidah found that there were injury signs caused by a blow from a hard object on the head.
