PORT DICKSON, Sept 14 (BERNAMA) — Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia’s (Bersatu) Port Dickson division has this advice for Kapar MP Datuk Abdullah Sani Abdul Hamid (from PKR)– stay away from campaigning for Pakatan Harapan (PH) during the upcoming Port Dickson by-election.
Its chief coordinator Ramli Awang said this was because he had hurled accusations against Prime Minister and Bersatu chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Council of Eminent Persons chairman Tun Daim Zainuddin that they were conspiring to prevent PKR president-elect Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim from becoming Malaysia’s eighth prime minister.
“I represent all in Bersatu Port Dickson in welcoming Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as PH’s candidate for the Port Dickson be-election.
“However, we do not want Abdullah Sani to come and campaign for PH here after what he did. It has hurt the feelings of Bersatu members,” he told a press conference here today.
Incumbent Port Dickson MP Datuk Danyal Balagopal Abdullah, from PKR, on Wednesday announced that he was vacating his seat to give way to Anwar who is slated to succeed Dr Mahathir as Malaysia’s eighth prime minister.
