KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 13 (Bernama) -- Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Muhammad V attended the Royal Perdana Forum held at Istana Negara held here tonight.
The forum, organised by the Prime Minister’s Department in collaboration with Istana Negara and the Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim), is being held in conjunction with the Seri Paduka Baginda’s official birthday celebrations this year.
Also present was Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Dr Mujahid Yusof Rawa.
The forum titled 'Keagungan Al-Fateh' was also attended by more than 600 people and was telecast life on TV1, Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM).
Ustaz Zakaria Othman from Jakim was moderator while the three panellists were Principal Assistant Director of the Mosque and Surau Management Department of the Pahang Islamic Religious Department Datuk Badli Shah Alauddin; Senior Lecturer in the Syariah Department, Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Datuk Dr Mohd Izhar Ariff Mohd Kashim and freelance preacher Ustaz Roslan Mohamed.
Among others, the 90-minute forum which began at 9.30 pm discussed the role of leaders in a country’s administration as well as the importance of education and the Quran in shaping leaders.
