MICC, 3PTEB COLLABORATE TO MARKET BUMIPUTERA PRODUCTS
GEMENCHEH, Sept 22 (Bernama) – The Negeri Sembilan division of the Malaysian Islamic Chamber of Commerce (MICC) is collaborating with the Secretariat of the Bumiputera Economic Transformation and Empowerment Plan (3PTEB) to market Bumiputera products nationwide.
MICC Negeri Sembilan Chairman Sulaiman Yusof said this would be achieved by supplying and marketing these products at Rizqmart Halal Convenience Stores.
“We wish to sell products that are 100 per cent halal, apart from building a business network to give space to Bumiputera produced products,” he said after officiating the launch of the first Rizqmart here today.
3PTEB President Haris Fadzlah Mat Ali said the secretariat had targeted to open a Rizqmart in every district in Seremban.
“We also plan to expand to Johor in the near future,” he said.
Store owner Ruslan Harun said the store would help expand the reach of local halal products as many Bumiputera entrepreneurs are not knowledgeable in marketing their products.
Haris Fadzlah said Bumiputera entrepreneurs who wished to market their products must register themselves at www.Rizqmall.com.
“The purpose of the registration is to allow us to collect data on the producers and enabling us to determine if approval on branding and halal certification has been obtained.
“This will help us determine if a product can be upgraded and marketed internationally,” he said, adding that consumers can also purchase the halal products offered by Rizqmart online at www.Rizqmall.com.
