Jakim lauds broadcasting dept's move in issuing list of preachers

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 17  (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim) lauded the move by the Broadcasting Department in issuing the list of religious preachers being prioritised to appear on Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) television and radio channels starting January 2019.

 

Socso: Only law change will allow income deduction

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 17 (Bernama) – In order for the 20 per cent deduction from the wages of foreign workers to go ahead, the Employment Act 1955 (Act 265) and Employees’ Social Security Act 1969 (Act 4) will have to be amended, said Social Security Organisation Malaysia (Socso) deputy chief executive (corporate), Datin Azlaily Abdul Rahman, today.

 

Floods: 781 residents move to 13 relief centres in Terengganu
