SRG Wins Fifth Consecutive MPL MY Title

KUALA LUMPUR, June 7 (Bernama) -- Selangor Red Giants (SRG) continued their dominance over the Mobile Legends Bang Bang (MLBB) Professional League Malaysia (MPL MY) when they won their fifth consecutive title today.

Pada aksi Grand Final musim ke-16 yang berlangsung di Stadium Juara, Bukit Kiara di sini hari ini The SRG team of Mark Rusiana (Kramm), Muhammad Haqqullah Ahmad Shahrul Zaman (Sekys), Hazziq Danish Rizwan (Stormie), Muhammad Qayyum Ariffin Mohd Suhairi (Yums) and John Vincent Banal (Innocent) outclassed their opponents Team Vamos in today’s 17th Season Grand Final at Juara Stadium, Bukit Kiara here today, with a clean 4-0 sweep.

Yums, the SRG Roamer, was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the match.

“This season is one of the seasons that we will never forget. We are not at our peak yet.

“We believe there is always a room to improve everyday as long we are stay hungry, humble and try to reclaim our title (Mid Season Cup (MSC)),” SRG coach Michael Bocado (Arcadia) said after the match.

As champions, SRG won USD31,900 (about RM128,000), while Team Vamos took home USD18,700 (about RM75,00).

Both teams also qualified to represent Malaysia for the MSC at the E-sports World Cup in Paris, France this July.
