MPL MY: Team Vamos Advance To Grand Final, Qualifies For MSC

KUALA LUMPUR, June 6 (Bernama) -- Team Vamos became the second Malaysian team to qualify for the E-sports World Cup’s Mid-Season Cup (MSC) in Paris, France when they, along with the Selangor Red Giants (SRG) advanced to the Mobile Legend Bang-Bang Professional League Malaysia’s (MPL MY) 17th season Grand Final today.

The team managed a clean 4-0 sweep, beating Invictus Gaming (IG) in the best of 7 match at Stadium Juara Stadium, Bukit Kiara here today, advancing for their second Grand Final since their first appearance in season 14.

“Actually, we didn’t expect a clean 4-0 sweep as we had some sick players before today’s game. But my places deserved the win as they have sacrificed greatly to get to this level,” team manager Afrindo Valentino said.

He also admitted that defending champions SRG, who his team will take on tomorrow in the Grand Final, had the advantage and cautioned his charges to not be complacent with their previous wins against their opponents.

“When we beat them, SRG didn’t have their key player Kramm. And now he’s back to strengthen SRG. So my players need to be more focused for the Grand Final tomorrow,” he added.
