Fire Destroys 12 Cars At Workshop In Kuantan

KUANTAN, March 14 (Bernama) -- Twelve cars of various models were destroyed in a fire at a workshop in Jalan Gambang here today.

Pahang Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) spokesman said 15 firemen from the Indera Mahkota and Kuantan stations were rushed to the scene following a distress call at 6.15 am.

He said the fire involved vehicles outside the workshop and did not affect the building structure.

“The fire destroyed about 20 per cent of five cars, while seven were completely destroyed,” he said when contacted.

He added that the cause of the fire and actual loss were being investigated.
