OTTAWA, March 8 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- One child died and 17 others were injured after a school bus overturned on Saturday in southeastern Quebec, Canada, according to Xinhua quoting local media.
The accident occurred Saturday morning in Sainte-Rose-de-Watford, a small community in the Chaudiere-Appalaches region near the US border.
Provincial police reported that four people, including the bus driver, sustained serious injuries, but none are considered life-threatening. Another 13 people suffered minor injuries.
The bus was travelling on a local road when it veered off the road and tipped over, possibly due to difficult road conditions. Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
