Israel Launches Airstrikes On Iran, Tehran Reports Explosions

TEHRAN, Feb 28 (Bernama-MNA) -- The Israeli regime carried out airstrikes on Iranian territory on Saturday morning, Mehr News Agency (MNA) reported.

Several loud explosions were heard in downtown Tehran.

Thick smoke was seen in the sky following the explosions.

The Israeli war minister claimed that a “pre-emptive strike” against Iran had been launched.

The Chairman of the Parliament’s National Security Commission, reacting to Israel’s attack on Iran, said: “We had warned you; now you have started a path whose end is no longer in your hands.”

Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the Iran Civil Aviation Organisation announced that, based on a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) issued, the entire airspace of the country of Iran has been closed until further notice.
