KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 13 (Bernnama) — After more than five years away from television screens, actress Bella Dally says her absence was not due to a lack of offers, but a personal decision to prioritise family life and business, a choice that has brought her a sense of calm and fulfilment.

Bella, whose real name is Nabilah Ali Dally, told Bernama that the decision was entirely her own, made after her marriage in 2019 and without any external pressure.

“For now, I’ve put acting on pause. My focus is on business and modelling with Ariani. Raya season is always extremely busy with multiple collections, but at the same time I want to give more time to my husband and family.

“I really value my privacy. That’s one of the main reasons I stepped away from acting. Alhamdulillah, I’m happy living a low-key life like this,” she said when met after the Ariani Lebaran Colour Fashion Show at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre recently.

Now 35, Bella acknowledged that her outlook on life has grown more mature, in line with the new phase she is experiencing.

“Last year, I performed the haj and, alhamdulillah… sometimes you begin to see the world very differently,” said the actress, who once starred in the drama Akulah Balqis.

That said, the Sabah-born actress is not ruling out a return to acting if she is offered a role that truly resonates with her.

“I won’t say no. If I read a script or come across a character that really connects with my soul, maybe I will return,” she said, adding that her husband, Arif Izuddin Mohd Radzali, has never restricted her freedom to pursue what she loves.

Asked about her dream role should she make a comeback, Bella said she is drawn to strong scripts and powerful female characters.

“I love portraying strong women, characters who can inspire and empower other women out there. I want to share something positive,” she said.
