KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 12 (Bernama) -- Yayasan Kebajikan Artis Tanahair (YKAT) today presented contributions to veteran artistes in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration at a leading hotel here.
Its chairman, Datuk Irwan Shah Abdullah, better known as DJ Dave, said the contributions to 15 celebrities are part of YKAT’s ongoing commitment to safeguarding the welfare of local artistes who have contributed to the country’s entertainment industry.
“The value of this contribution may be small compared to their lifelong dedication to the industry, but this is a token of appreciation and care from YKAT and donors who continuously support these welfare efforts,” he said at the event.

Meanwhile, actor Remon Lim, 62, said he was grateful and touched that his contributions to the entertainment industry are still remembered.
