Govt To Improve Non-Critical Spending To Protect People And Economy - MOF

KUALA LUMPUR, April 29 (Bernama) -- The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has confirmed that guidelines have been issued to ministries and agencies to restructure operating expenditure.

This aligns with the challenges posed by the global supply crisis and rising subsidy commitments, said the ministry in a statement today.

The ministry said the measure is part of a prudent fiscal management approach aimed at optimising government resources to ensure continued support for the rakyat.

“Expenditure adjustments will be carried out without compromising critical services to the rakyat and overall economic stability,” said the MoF.
