KLCI Futures End Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 2 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower on Friday, tracking the underlying cash market.

At the close, the January 2026 contract fell 10.0 points to 1,672.5, February 2026 lost 7.0 points to 1,675.5, March 2026 decreased 10.0 points to 1,658.0 and June 2026 declined 8.0 points to 1,662.0

Turnover declined to 5,344 lots from 8.442 on Wednesday, while open interest dwindled to 38,653 contracts versus 42,817 contracts.

At 5 pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) erased 10.35 points, or 0.62 per cent, to 1,669.76 from Wednesday’s close of 1,680.11.
