FBM KLCI Futures Open Firmer

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 9 (Bernama) -- FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts opened firmer on Thursday, tracking improved sentiment in the broader market.

At 9.20 am, the spot month October 2025 contract rose 6.5 points to 1,630.0, while the November 2025 contract gained 6.0 points to 1,629.50.

The December 2025 contract was 5.5 points higher at 1,627.50, and the March 2026 contract climbed 7.5 points to 1,610.50.

Turnover stood at 710 lots, with open interest totalling 42,850 contracts.

The benchmark FBM KLCI increased 3.01 points to 1,630.51 after 38 minutes of trading, from Wednesday’s close of 1,627.50.
