MITI Receives Over 40 Proposals For Budget 2026

KUALA LUMPUR,  Sept 12 (Bernama) -- The Investment, Trade and Industry Ministry (MITI) has received more than 40 proposals from industry players for the upcoming Budget 2026.

In a post on X, MITI Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Aziz said the proposals covered various areas, including fiscal and non-fiscal incentives, technology, research and development initiatives, green investments, talent development, jobs and wage structures.

The proposals also include export supports and free trade agreements, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives, and Sustainable Development Goals.

“The engagement sessions with the captains of industry are crucial to ensure that the perspectives of industry players are reflected in drafting national policies and strategies which are inclusive, competitive and sustainable.

“I would like to thank all the industry representatives who shared their constructive views. MITI remains committed to strengthening the nation’s trade and industrial ecosystem to support more sustainable and inclusive economic growth,” he said.

Earlier on, Tengku Zafrul held a dialogue session with industry players as part of the MITI 2026 Budget Dialogue Session.
