Petronas Dagangan Appoints Sazali Hamzah As Chairman

KUALA LUMPUR, May 8 (Bernama) -- Petronas Dagangan Bhd (PDB) has appointed Datuk Sazali Hamzah as chairman, effective today.

Sazali is currently Petronas’ executive vice president and chief executive officer (CEO) of its downstream business. He also serves as chairman and director of several companies within the Petronas group, PDB said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia.

He was previously managing director and CEO of Petronas Chemicals Group Bhd from May 8, 2014 to Dec 31, 2021.

Sazali also served as managing director and CEO of Petronas Penapisan (Melaka) Sdn Bhd. During his career with Petronas, he held several senior leadership roles, including senior general manager of group technology solutions and head of project management and delivery, with experience spanning the refinery and petrochemical businesses.
