Rubber Production Incentive Activated In Sabah, Sarawak For August 2025
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 3 (Bernama) -- The Rubber Production Incentive (IPG) for cuplump and latex has been activated in Sabah and Sarawak for August 2025, according to the Malaysian Rubber Board (MRB).
In a statement today, MRB said the rate for cuplump IPG in Sabah is 35 sen per kg for 50 per cent dry rubber content (DRC) and 70 sen per kg for 100 per cent DRC, while the rate for Sarawak is 40 sen per kg (50 per cent DRC) and 80 sen per kg (100 per cent DRC).
Meanwhile, the rate for latex IPG for Sabah and Sarawak is 90 sen per kg for 100 per cent DRC.
“IPG for cuplump and latex is not active for Peninsular Malaysia for August 2025. Therefore, no IPG payment will be made for the month,” it said.
The IPG will be activated if the average monthly farmgate price for cuplump rubber is at RM3 per kg or below. The IPG for latex will be activated when cuplump’s IPG is activated.
“The rate of IPG latex is fixed at 90 sen per kg for latex with 100 per cent DRC,” it said, adding that IPG would be paid to all eligible Malaysian rubber smallholders.
In August 2025, it noted that the average farmgate prices for cuplump were RM3 per kg for Peninsular, RM2.65 per kg (Sabah) and RM2.60 per kg (Sarawak).
MRB added that smallholders in Sabah and Sarawak are eligible to receive IPG payment from Sept 1 until 30 based on the rubber production in August 2025.
