Global Investors Head To Xiamen For 25th CIFIT Amid Rising Two-Way Investment Focus

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 2 (Bernama) -- The 25th China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT), themed “Join Hands with China, Invest in the Future”, will be held in Xiamen, Fujian, from Sept 8 to 11, drawing high-level global attention as China reinforces its dual role in attracting and exporting capital.

According to the organising committee in a statement, this year’s CIFIT will focus on three key areas, namely "Invest in China", "Chinese Investment", and "International Investment".

The fair will feature an exhibition area of about 120,000 square metres and host over 70 specialised investment activities and more than 100 roadshows.

Nearly 100 executives from multinational corporations in the fields of energy, chemicals, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and intelligent manufacturing, as well as representatives from sovereign wealth funds and international investment institutions, have confirmed participation under the "Invest in China" segment. Additionally, over 100 "hidden champion" enterprises from Europe and Asia will join the event.

The "Chinese Investment" segment will showcase cooperation achievements and signature projects of Chinese enterprises worldwide through three zones, namely China Outbound Investment, Overseas Comprehensive Services and Silk Road Maritime.

The Ministry of Commerce will also organise chambers of commerce to release China’s Outbound Investment Activity Index for the first time. An economic and trade exchange conference between Chinese provinces and United States states will also be held.

To date, delegations from more than 110 countries, regions and international organisations have registered to attend CIFIT, with 51 countries and regions confirmed to set up exhibition booths.

The United Kingdom, as this year’s guest of honour, is expected to send a delegation of nearly 200 representatives from government agencies, businesses and associations.

As the only major national-level investment exhibition in China, CIFIT has facilitated the signing of more than 30,000 projects since its inception, cementing its position as one of the world’s most influential international investment events.
