KLCI Futures Opens Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 4 (Bernama) -- FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives opened lower on Monday, mirroring losses in the underlying cash market.

At 9.18 am, spot month August 2025 fell 10.0 points to 1,519.0, September 2025 and December 2025 lost 9.5 points each to 1,499.50 and 1,500.0, and March 2026 shed 6.5 points to 1.491.0.

Turnover stood at 1,107 lots, with open interest totalling 37,150 contracts.

The benchmark FBM KLCI was 9.50 points lower at 1,523.85 after 38 minutes of trading, compared with last Friday’s close of 1,533.35.
