FBM KLCI Futures Close Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, May 28 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower today, following the weaker performance of the underlying cash market.

At the close, May 2025 fell 1.0 point to 1,526.0, June 2025 and September 2025 dropped 1.5 points each to 1,522.5 and 1,506.5, respectively, and December 2025 lost 3.0 points to 1,512.5.

Turnover jumped to 62,385 lots from 33,899 lots on Tuesday, while open interest widened to 103,479 contracts compared to 73,526 contracts previously.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI slid 2.68 points to 1,523.48 from Tuesday’s close of 1,526.16.
