FBM KLCI Futures Close Higher

KUALA LUMPUR, May 23 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher today, tracking the performance of the underlying cash market.

At the close, May 2025 added 5.5 points to 1,533.5 and June 2025 went up 6.0 points to 1,533.0, while September 2025 and December 2025 gained 7.0 points each to 1,518.0 and 1,525.0, respectively. 

Turnover fell to 8,626 lots from 10,710 lots on Thursday, while open interest decreased to 42,759 contracts from 45,700 contracts yesterday. 

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI rose 8.36 points, or 0.55 per cent, to 1,535.38 from Thursday’s close of 1,527.02.
