FBM KLCI Futures Close Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, May 15 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower today, tracking the performance of the underlying cash market.

At the close, May 2025 contract decreased 6.5 points to 1,574.5, June 2025 fell seven points to 1,573.5, September 2025 declined 6.5 points to 1,558.5 and December 2025 slid 8.5 points to 1,567.5.

Turnover reduced to 6,850 lots from 9,957 lots from on Wednesday, while open interest was lower at 40,949 contracts against 42,654 contracts previously.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI fell 10.49 points, or 0.66 per cent, to 1,573.02 from Wednesday’s close of 1,583.51.
