FBM KLCI Futures Close Higher

KUALA LUMPUR, May 9 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher in line with the better cash market performance.

May 2025 and December 2025 rose 6.5 points each to 1,545.0 and 1,536.5, respectively, June 2025 added 5.5 points to 1,543.0, while September 2025 climbed 5.0 points to 1,527.0.

Turnover slipped to 4,302 lots from 6,458 lots on Thursday, while open interest shed to 36,502 contracts from 38,679 previously.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI rose 0.24 per cent, or 3.76 points, to 1,546.50 from yesterday’s close of 1,542.74.
