Breaking Language Barriers: AI-Media Debuts LEXI Voice At NAB Show 2025

KUALA LUMPUR, April 15 (Bernama) -- AI-Media, a global leader in artificial intelligence (AI)-driven captioning and language technology, unveiled its groundbreaking live translation solution, LEXI Voice, at the NAB Show 2025 in Las Vegas, signalling a major advancement in real-time multilingual broadcasting.

AI-Media Chief Sales Officer, James Ward said LEXI Voice delivers the accuracy, scalability, and simplicity customers are seeking, all at a disruptive price point.

“NAB was the first time our customers saw the complete LEXI Voice solution live – and the response confirmed what we knew: the market is ready. This product transforms what’s possible in real-time multilingual engagement,” he said in a statement.

The AI-powered technology drew strong interest from global broadcasters, live event producers, streaming platforms, and enterprise leaders, thanks to its ability to transform single-language broadcasts into multi-language experiences—without requiring additional hardware.

LEXI Voice uses advanced AI to generate natural-sounding synthetic voices in over 100 languages, with ultra-low latency of just eight to 12 seconds.

Designed for simplicity and scalability, it integrates directly with AI-Media’s existing captioning infrastructure, such as Alta, Encoder Pro, and iCap, using the same application programming interfaces (APIs), scheduling, and billing systems. This plug-and-play setup makes adoption seamless for current customers.

With a competitive price of US$30 per hour (plus standard captioning fees), LEXI Voice delivers up to 90 per cent cost savings compared to traditional human interpreters. Key features include regional and gender voice customisation, glossary tools for brand and name consistency, and support for up to five alternate-language tracks per broadcast channel. (US$1=RM4.40)

Real-world applications are already underway using LEXI Voice—from broadcasters localising sports and news to governments ensuring public session accessibility and corporations scaling internal communications for global teams. Streaming platforms are also adopting the technology to expand their global audience reach.

As part of AI-Media’s broader LEXI Toolkit—which also includes LEXI Brew (generative AI) and LEXI Translate—LEXI Voice aligns with the company’s strategic goal to triple its technology revenue by fiscal year 2029 and reach US$60 million in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA).
