KUALA LUMPUR, June 29 (Bernama) -- Malaysia’s young rider Muhammad Hakim Danish Ramli was satisfied with his seventh-place finish in the Moto3 Dutch Grand Prix at the TT Circuit Assen yesterday, despite struggling with tyre grip issues.

Hakim Danish said he managed the race well after starting from 16th on the grid, making his way into the leading pack and challenging for a place in the top three.

“It was quite a difficult race, but I managed it well at the start. Beginning from P16, I broke into the leading group and fought for a place in the top three.

“The race became very intense when another group caught up with us. I tried to maintain my momentum despite not feeling very confident with the tyre performance, and eventually finished seventh,” he said in an Instagram post.

Yesterday, Hakim Danish, who started from 16th on the grid, produced an impressive ride to break into the leading pack and remained among the top three throughout much of the 25-lap race.

However, with five laps remaining, Hakim Danish appeared to struggle with his machine and lost momentum, allowing several riders to overtake him before finishing seventh in 33 minutes 56.275 seconds.

The result earned the 18-year-old an additional nine championship points, moving him up to sixth place in the Moto3 standings with a total of 82 points.
