TALENTBANK ANNOUNCES GRADUATES’ CHOICE AWARD 2026 WINNERS: MALAYSIA’S MOST VOTED GRADUATE EMPLOYERS REVEALED

11/05/2026 04:02 PM

KUALA LUMPUR, May 11 (Bernama) -- For hundreds of thousands of university students across Malaysia, choosing a future employer is no longer based solely on salary, but increasingly on purpose, growth and reputation.

This shifting mindset is reflected in the latest Graduates’ Choice Award (GCA) 2026, unveiled by Talentbank today, which recognises the country’s most sought-after employers as voted entirely by students.

Talentbank said in a statement that, now in its eighth year, the award has evolved into Malaysia’s largest student-driven employer benchmark, offering a rare and unfiltered insight into what truly matters to the nation’s emerging workforce.

In 2026, more than 740,000 cumulative votes were cast by students from over 100 universities nationwide, making it the most extensive employer perception study within the graduate market, Talentbank said.

Unlike conventional awards decided by industry panels, the GCA is shaped wholly by student voices, giving employers and policymakers a direct line of sight into how young Malaysians assess career opportunities.

According to Talentbank, the results reveal a clear pattern: employers that combine growth opportunities, meaningful job roles and strong reputations are leading the race for Malaysia’s future talent.

Talentbank chief executive officer Ben Ho said this year’s results send a strong and measurable signal to the market.

“With over 740,000 cumulative votes cast nationwide, the 2026 winners represent the organisations that have earned genuine trust and confidence from Malaysia’s university students. This is a direct reflection of market perception.

“In an increasingly competitive talent landscape, understanding graduate expectations is no longer optional. Employers who align with graduate priorities today will secure stronger talent pipelines tomorrow,” he said in the same statement.

Talentbank stated that this year’s winners span a wide spectrum of industries, including financial services, technology, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), healthcare, telecommunications, energy, professional services and digital platforms.

From multinational corporations to leading local enterprises, the diversity of the list underscores a key point: employer excellence is not confined to any single sector, but is defined by how well organisations connect with the aspirations of young talent.

“As Malaysia’s most authoritative student-driven employer benchmark, the GCA has become a strategic reference point for employer branding across industries.

“For organisations, ranking highly in GCA signals strong brand resonance among graduates, a key advantage in securing early-career talent in a tightening labour market. For students, the benchmark offers a trusted reference when navigating career decisions,” the statement read.

To ensure the benchmark remains relevant, Talentbank said its survey methodology will be reviewed every two years through the Graduate Employability Bootcamp in collaboration with policymakers.

It said that following the announcement, voting for the GCA 2027 is now open to university students nationwide, continuing a cycle where the voice of students shapes the employers of tomorrow.
