BEIJING, May 11 (Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti) -- China and the United States will hold consultations on trade and economic issues in South Korea on May 12-13, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce announced on Monday, reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti.
"In accordance with the agreement between China and the United States, He Lifeng, a member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China's Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, will lead a delegation to South Korea from May 12-13 to hold trade and economic consultations with the United States," the ministry said.
It is noted that the parties will hold consultations on trade and economic issues of common interest, guided by the important agreements reached during the Busan summit and telephone conversations between the two heads of state.
The consultations will take place ahead of US President Donald Trump's state visit to China on May 13-15.
