DOHA, May 5 (Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti) -- The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force said on Tuesday that its units were put on high alert to defend the country in the event of an escalation in the region, reported Spunik/RIA Novosti.
"All weapons and units are on high alert and fully prepared to provide protection," the military said on X.
The armed forces command warned the public not to approach any suspicious objects that may be found on the ground following airstrikes, adding that the armed forces' engineering unit is "ready to respond to such incidents".
On Monday, UAE authorities said that they had intercepted 12 ballistic missiles and four drones launched from Iran. However, Tehran has denied allegations of involvement in the attacks on UAE territory.
