JITRA, March 9 (Bernama) -- A total of 1,153 participants have taken part in the Armed Forces Family Skills Programme (K²T), which ran 34 courses through community colleges nationwide.
Armed Forces Fund Board (LTAT) Foundation chief executive Datuk Dr Mohd Nizar Sudin said that most recently, 25 members of the Armed Forces Family Welfare Association (BAKAT) from the Air Force College (KTU) Alor Setar participated in a raya cookies course held at Bandar Darulaman Community College here.
He said the programme aims to empower BAKAT members with practical skills that can be applied in daily life while encouraging them to venture into entrepreneurship.
“This programme was introduced last year. The course provides hands-on exposure to participants in producing various types of cookies for Aidilfitri.
“It indirectly opens up opportunities for BAKAT members to turn these skills into a source of side income to help boost their family income,” he told reporters here yesterday.
Mohd Nizar said the programme was funded by the LTAT Foundation in collaboration with Pharmaniaga Berhad.
