SERI ISKANDAR, March 6 (Bernama) -- The Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah, today attended the state-level Nuzul Quran celebration for 1447H/2026 at An-Nur Mosque, Universiti Teknologi Petronas, here.
Also present were the Raja Muda of Perak, Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa, and the Raja Di Hilir of Perak, Raja Iskandar Dzurkarnain Sultan Idris Shah.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad and Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPk) president Tan Sri Mohd Annuar Zaini also attended the event.
The event began with a special poetry recital on Nuzul Quran, followed by the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran along with their translation and a tahlil, before Sultan Nazrin broke fast with more than 2,000 guests.
His Royal Highness later performed the maghrib, isyak and tarawih prayers.
Sultan Nazrin also handed over Aidilfitri aid from MAIPk amounting to RM12.6 million to penghulu mukim from 12 districts representing 42,006 recipients comprising the asnaf, the poor and mualaf.
