KANGAR, March 2 (Bernama) -- Comprehensive preparedness and tactical efficiency as well as sharp strategic thinking are required in the armed forces to face new challenges in the current security landscape, including increasingly complex and dynamic cyber challenges.

In this regard, the Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, who is also the Commander of the 504th Territorial Army Regiment of the Malaysian Army, stressed that the trust shouldered by each member of the military requires great sacrifice and high commitment.

He said that the commitment, courage and loyalty displayed by all members of the armed forces are not only greatly appreciated but are also the pillars of the country's stability, sovereignty and peace.

“The appreciation of spiritual values, exemplary leadership and emphasis on welfare aspects also play an important role in shaping discipline, patience and sincerity in each member.

“A soldier who is spiritually strong will be more steadfast, principled and resilient in carrying out every responsibility entrusted to him,” said Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra.

In a statement by the 504th Territorial Regiment today, the Raja Muda of Perlis said this when breaking fast with the members of the 22nd Battalion of the Royal Malay Regiment at the Sri Kinabatangan Camp, Sandakan, Sabah yesterday.

Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra said that building a strong identity and a high level of professionalism as well as unwavering integrity are the main pillars of the strength of the armed forces.

“Each member is a reflection of the Malaysian Army and the Royal Institution, therefore the character, trust and dignity of the team must always preserved and upheld with full sense of responsibility and honour,” he said.

The Raja Muda also wished a Happy 93rd Anniversary of the Malaysian Army to all army personnel and veterans for all their services and sacrifices for the country.
