Asia (Tuesday)
The S&P/ASX 200 index opened at 8,970.20 points, up 33.10 points, or 0.37 per cent.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average opened at 56,819.37 points, up 12.96 points, or 0.02 per cent.
Europe (Monday)
The DAX Index closed at 24,800.91 points, down 113.97 points, or 0.46 per cent.
The FTSE 100 Index closed at 10,473.69 points, up 27.34 points, or 0.26 per cent.
The Paris CAC 40 closed at 8,316.50 points, up 4.76 points, or 0.06 per cent.
