SHAH ALAM, Jan 26 (Bernama) -- The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department has confirmed a forest fire involving an estimated five acres of land near the Denai Alam toll plaza along the Damansara–Shah Alam Elevated Expressway (DASH) this afternoon.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department Operations Division assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar said the department received an emergency call at 12.58 pm, prompting eight officers and personnel from the Bukit Jelutong Fire and Rescue Station to be dispatched.
“All officers and personnel rushed to the scene with a fire engine and water tanker, arriving at 1.22 pm,” he said in a statement.
He added that the fire was brought under control at 3.40 pm, but firefighting operations were ongoing as of 5 pm.
