KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 22 (Bernama) -- Suria KLCC invites all Malaysians to join in celebrating the Year of the Horse from Jan 16 to Feb 18 through a festival that blends tradition, culture, and meaningful festive experiences.
Francis Tan, Executive Director and CEO of Suria KLCC Sdn Bhd, said that visitors can experience a truly holistic festive journey with relaxing moments at KLCC Park and around the KLCC Precinct, which houses a diverse mix of lifestyle, dining, arts, and cultural attractions.
He noted that the Suria KLCC Centre Court has been transformed into an immersive festive showcase featuring an Oriental House Carousel as the centerpiece - symbolising the Year of the Horse. The installation is set against a stunning backdrop of mountains and cherry blossom trees.
"Visitors can explore interactive elements such as the 'Lotus Pond of Blessings,' where they are invited to convey wishes for prosperity and luck. Additionally, a traditional Chinese pavilion complete with a bridge completes the ambiance, serving as a beautiful backdrop for festive photography," he said in a statement here today.
Tan added that as an iconic destination in Kuala Lumpur, Suria KLCC is more than just a shopping mall; it is a place where memories are created and experiences are shared.
"In conjunction with this Chinese New Year, we are honoured to present an immersive journey that celebrates the energy and spirit of the Year of the Horse, while uniting the community through shared heritage and joy.
"We are also proud to continue our commitment to community well-being through a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, allowing shoppers to contribute meaningfully to mental health awareness while embracing the festive spirit," he said.
Beyond the decorations, Suria KLCC is offering a rewards programme for shoppers who spend RM2,500 and above in two receipts will receive a RM100 Suria KLCC Shopping e-voucher and a set of angpau packets.
There is also online bonus of an additional RM100 e-Voucher that will be awarded for purchases of RM1,000 made through the website.
Festive activities to enliven the atmosphere include Acrobatic Lion Dance performance, Sugar Art workshops, Calligraphy Stamp workshops, and photobooth facilities for visitors.
In the Alamanda Shopping Centre in Putrajaya, starting from Jan 23 to Feb 18, the Centre Court will feature an Oriental garden concept complete with its own Horse Carousel, Chinese pavilion, red lanterns, and cherry blossoms to create a family-friendly atmosphere.
The highlights will be Lion dances, traditional Chinese dance performances, ViKids children's activities, and e-voucher rewards.
Meanwhile, shoppers are encouraged to support the mental health initiative by purchasing Green Ribbon Pins while at the Mesra Mall in Kemasik, Terengganu where the East Coast celebration runs from Jan 29 to Feb 18, focusing on family elements and tradition.
